Your Thinking Cap LMS is built as a tree of domains that can have as many or as few domains and sub-domains as you need, depending on your learning audience. Think of each domain as a mini-LMS that can have its own users, courses, learning paths, and custom fields. Best of all, you can apply unique branding and site maps to each domain for unique learner experiences (LX). You can discreetly track each domain, separate them with firewalls, brand them, and assign unique URLs for access.
We have crafted each page of the administrative interface to help you get work done quickly and efficiently.
Finally an LMS that isn't flat
Most learning management systems are flat. Thinking Cap uses a tree structure so that you can create any kind of hierarchical organization you need. All customers start with a single root node, which is perfect for small businesses or those with simple learning needs. Larger businesses with more complex learning needs will want to create new domains to segment their audience and develop multiple learning programs. Creating new domains allows you to:
- Create a unique learner experience with unique branding
- Separate administrative responsibility
- Define different, even contrary, business rules, and
- Segment groups of different business units.
You can set up your new domain to inherit settings from its parent or you can start fresh with entirely new and independent settings. Each core domain is essentially its own learning management system. You can control how much content is shared or inherited between your domains and expand your tree as your business grows. Thinking Cap is as flexible and agile as you are.
Complexity made simple
Learning management systems are among the most complex systems in any business. Learners don’t see any of this because they have a simple view in which everything they need is right in front of them. Administrators, on the other hand, need to manage a lot more information. Thinking Cap has many options and configurations to ensure that we can meet the nuances our customers need without overwhelming the administrators. In addition to our guidance and partnership at every stage of onboarding your LMS, we’ve created a system that is logical, accommodating, predictable, and consistent.
Automated data integration
You manage your data automatically, semi-automatically, or one-by-one as you need to, and you can integrate your data using a wide range of web services, SSO, or any of our quick and easy-to-use tools for modifying large data sets.
You can also use spreadsheets to manage larger collections of data that are too large to work with manually. You can enroll up to 10,000 users at once, and then set up each with the correct security roles, domain membership, and course enrollments. If you wanted to, you could use spreadsheets to remove 1,000 of them and change their custom fields the next day.
Use your own vocabulary in our LMS
You don’t want to learn a different vocabulary to use your new LMS. Do you use the term Course or Module? Do you use the spelling Enroll or Enrol? Do you describe the user experience as a Learning Path or a Competency Map? You can make these decisions. Thinking Cap provides a simple nomenclature tool that allows you to override any of our translation strings so that you can customize your LMS to your vocabulary and naming conventions.
It’s easy to add a user, enrol a learner, or update the details for an Instructor-Led Training (ILT) location. A Single Sign-On (SSO) makes the login process seamless and secure for your users.
¿No hablan Inglés?

Our LMS supports many languages out-of-the-box including Arabic, Chinese (Simplified), Czech, Danish, Estonian, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Portuguese (Brazil), Romanian, Slovak, Spanish, Swedish, and Western Armenian.
